These common conditions cause pins and needles in either the outer 3 fingers or the inner 2 fingers of the hand, depending which nerve is affected.

It often causes symptoms at night, or sometimes when driving or using tools at work. Occasionally we send you for nerve conduction tests to confirm the diagnosis, but with classic symptoms these are not required. The decompressions are straightforward, and apart from waiting for the wounds to heal, there is no other delay in your return to normal activities. Whilst the tingling usually resolves quickly, the numbness from the compressed nerve can take up to a year to improve as the nerve regenerates.
